One of the good things about watching the Grammy’s last night was that it really gives you the opportunity to listen to different types of music. You may not appreciate today’s Rap or Rock but the Grammy’a provides the opportunity to hear different recording artists singing their hits and some interesting duets.
I always enjoy hearing music of all different time periods. Lone Star College-Kingwood has a great website that is a chronology of American Music. Music before 1900 is highlighted at http://kclibrary.lonestar.edu/music-1.html. Music from 1900-1950 is at http://kclibrary.lonestar.edu/music-2.html and then music from 1950 to the present is http://kclibrary.lonestar.edu/music-3.html. Links include lyrics, books, biographies, and histories.
